Otitis
Otitis is a general term for inflammation or infection of the ear, in both humans and other animals.

- aka swimmer's ear, or earcahe
- it affects the outer ear and ear canal
- it features tenderness of the ear when touched, and swelling
- it might be caused by eczema, microbial or fungal infection
- it might be accompained by irritation of the throat

- aka middle ear infection or earache
- it affects the middel ear between ear drum and the inner ear
- it occurs commonly among children
- it is usually accompained by a viral or bacterial upper respiratory infection

| Otitis Interna |
- aka labyrinthitis
- it affects the inner ear
- it features vertigo, nausea, vomiting, and rarely haering loss
- it might be due to viral or bacterial inflammation, but also to head injury, allergy, reaction to a drug, etc.
